Wildre3D Policy
Intellectual Property & Customer-Provided Files Policy
Wildre3D provides custom 3D-printing services using files supplied by customers. We respect the intellectual-property rights of designers, artists, brands, and other rights holders. Customers are responsible for ensuring that any file submitted to Wildre3D may legally be used for the requested purpose.
Customer responsibility
By submitting, uploading, emailing, sharing, or otherwise providing a 3D model, STL, 3MF, OBJ, STEP, CAD file, image, drawing, logo, or other content to Wildre3D, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the submitted content, or you have all rights, licenses, permissions, and authority necessary to submit it to Wildre3D.
- You have the right to authorize Wildre3D to inspect, process, modify as needed for manufacturability, quote, manufacture, package, and deliver the requested physical item.
- Any required commercial-use, merchant, manufacturing, print-service, or third-party production rights have been obtained.
- Your requested order does not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, design right, publicity right, contract term, software license, platform rule, or other third-party right.
- You are not submitting a file that you downloaded, copied, shared, or obtained in violation of the original creator’s license, subscription terms, or platform rules.
Personal-use and noncommercial files
Many digital 3D-print files are offered at no charge but are licensed only for personal, noncommercial use. A file that is free to download may still prohibit:
- Sale of physical prints.
- Use in a business or paid service.
- Third-party printing or contract manufacturing.
- Print-on-demand fulfillment.
- Redistribution, modification, or sublicensing.
If a file is marked “personal use only,” “noncommercial,” “not for resale,” “commercial license required,” or contains similar restrictions, do not submit it for paid printing unless you have written authorization from the original designer or rights holder that specifically permits Wildre3D to manufacture the item for you.
Proof of rights
Wildre3D may request reasonable proof of ownership, licensing, or permission before accepting, producing, or shipping an order. Acceptable documentation may include:
- A commercial, merchant, print-service, or manufacturing license issued by the original designer.
- Written permission from the copyright owner or authorized rights holder.
- A license page or receipt that expressly permits paid third-party manufacturing.
- Evidence that you created the model or own the applicable design rights.
- Evidence that the model is in the public domain or released under a license that permits the requested commercial use.
A customer’s purchase of a digital file does not automatically grant Wildre3D permission to manufacture the item. Licenses may be personal, non-transferable, limited to the purchaser, or limited to personal use. Customers are responsible for confirming that their rights extend to a paid third-party printer.
Restricted content
Wildre3D may decline, cancel, or refund any order that appears to involve unauthorized use of protected content. This includes, without limitation:
- Copyrighted characters, artwork, sculptures, toys, game assets, movie/television properties, music-related designs, or fan art.
- Trademarks, logos, trade dress, brand names, team names, or branded product designs.
- Patented products, replacement components, or designs that may infringe third-party rights.
- Files obtained from a source that does not clearly identify the creator, licensing terms, or legal rights.
- Files that are obviously copied, pirated, leaked, or shared without authorization.
- Content that is unlawful, unsafe, defamatory, abusive, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
Wildre3D does not provide legal advice and does not independently verify every customer’s ownership or license rights. Acceptance of an order, generation of a quote, processing of payment, or completion of a print does not mean Wildre3D has confirmed that the file is lawful or noninfringing.
Right to refuse or cancel
Wildre3D reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse, pause, cancel, or refund any order that may violate this policy, applicable law, third-party rights, safety requirements, or our business standards.
If production has not begun, Wildre3D may issue a refund consistent with its cancellation policy. If a customer cannot provide requested evidence of permission, Wildre3D may cancel the order. Any refund may exclude nonrecoverable payment-processing costs, design-review work, file-preparation work, or other work already completed, where permitted by applicable law and disclosed in the applicable order terms.
Customer indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Wildre3D and its owner, employees, contractors, and suppliers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:
- Your submitted files or other content.
- Your alleged ownership or licensing rights.
- Your request that Wildre3D manufacture, distribute, or deliver an item.
- Any alleged infringement, misappropriation, or violation of third-party rights connected to your order.
File handling
You retain ownership of files you submit, subject to the limited permission needed for Wildre3D to provide the requested quote, manufacture the requested order, communicate with you about the order, and retain records as reasonably necessary for customer service, reorders, accounting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, Wildre3D will not sell, publish, or intentionally distribute your submitted file. Wildre3D may retain files and order records for a reasonable period. You may request deletion of submitted files after order completion, subject to legal, accounting, warranty, dispute-resolution, and backup-retention requirements.
Reporting infringement concerns
If you believe Wildre3D has printed or offered a design that infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact us at wildre3d@gmail.com with:
- Your name and contact information.
- A description of the protected work or right.
- The relevant registration, ownership, or authorization information, if available.
- The URL, order reference, or description of the allegedly infringing item.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
We will review credible reports and may remove, pause, or investigate the relevant order or listing as appropriate.
Documentation request message
If a file appears to come from MakerWorld, Printables, Etsy, Cults3D, MyMiniFactory, Patreon, or another design marketplace and the license is unclear:
Thanks for your custom-print request. Before we can begin production, please provide documentation showing that you have the right to authorize a paid third-party printing service to manufacture this file.
Please send either:
- A commercial, merchant, print-service, or manufacturing license from the original designer; or
- Written permission from the original designer/rightsholder stating that Wildre3D may print this model for you; or
- Evidence that you created or own the file.
A free download or personal-use license may not permit a commercial printer to produce the item for a fee. Once we receive and review the documentation, we can continue with your order.
